MARINElife Research Team of Maggie Gamble and John Perry
completed the first monthly survey with our new shipping partner
Seatruck Ferries on their Heysham to Warrenpoint route.
The trip was very successful, passing close to the Isle of
Man and producing some good seabird encounters including
a Black Guillemot, over 200 Grey Seals, 10 Harbour Porpoises and at
least 4 Bottlenose Dolphins.
We thank Seatruck Ferries for allowing us access to their vessel
and look forward to future surveys in the Irish Sea and
more valuable encounters with cetaceans and seabirds.
